As promised, I will be posting pictures of my little project at casa de Baldwin this past week. Thus far, I have done three major rooms and one partial room. Let’s just say that the results are like night and day. I don’t want to disparage my sister, after all, she is family. I’m just saying that she is not tidy–at all. It doesn’t matter, she gave me total control (well, except for the stupid beanie babies) of tossing, giving away and the like. It was awesome. I promise I will upload a few before and after photos. I hope they are happy and can find their belongings…at least for now. Kerry did say that she was so excited because she found a cute dress she hadn’t “seen” all season…gee, I wonder why!
Kerry’s Closet…em, HOUSE March 8, 2010
Yes! I get to clean out my sister’s HOUSE…one room at a time. I mean, really? Who gets excited about cleaning out someone else’s house? MEEEEEE 🙂 I posted a few days ago that Spring cleaning is here. It must have spurred something inside Kerry because she asked me to start helping her clean out her house–room by room. So, I’m planning to take a picture of before and after. This means I have to learn how to upload photos to my blog. This skill is long overdo, so I’m happy there is a reason that totally necessitates this skill.
Stay tuned for updates on this massive project.
Clean out your closets! March 6, 2010
If there is one thing to know about me, I LOVE to clean out things…drawers, closets, cars, garages etc. I cleaned out my sisters closets (yes, that is plural) last year and found great joy in helping her let go of the dresses, skirts, pants that were HOT 10 years ago but not so much anymore. I hope to do it again as she still has way too much “stuff”. Her husband wont ever let me touch his belongings because he knows that I don’t take any prisoners when I am tossing things. I have very little emotional connections to clothes. Ok, I do have a little but not much. My sister remembers every time she wore said outfit and if there is ANY significance, she holds onto it. Ugh…drives me nuts. Anyway, Catholic High School in Little Rock is having it’s annual “Junktique Sale” at the end of the month. You can drop off any donations March 24-25. They will even pick up if your item(s) are too large. So…start cleaning out your house. Get rid of the excess that just weighs you down. It is for a great cause, so start donating!
